Avaya IP Softphone Release 4 is a CTI/TAPI enabled client-based telephony application for the PC or laptop. Avaya IP Softphone R4 provides access to Avaya DEFINITY software (R9.5 and R10) and Avaya Communication Manager Software station features (except call center agent features). It provides productivity features, such as, easy-to-use graphical user interfaces and access to Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) compatible databases. Avaya iClarity IP Audio, Avaya's Voice-over-IP (VoIP) audio engine, is integrated in the application to provide superior audio performance for the Road Warrior (Voice over IP) configuration. The major enhancements in this release include the ability to control Avaya IP Telephones and survivability against Denial of Service (Dos) attacks. The major enhancements provided in the latest Service Pack include multi-lingual support and the Picture of Phone view for the 2420 terminal.

Enables 3rd party IP end points. The Avaya 4600Series hardphones do not require this license key and iPhoneManager Pro (IP Office IPSoft-Phone) is enabledSeparately by IPPRO RFA. Adds 50 third party end points.
